At ShutterPress, we take your privacy seriously. The plugin is designed to operate efficiently on your own WordPress site, and it only collects the minimal data required to ensure functionality, updates, and optional analytics.
1. Data Stored on Your Site
ShutterPress stores the following data within your WordPress database:
- Gallery data: Image titles, captions, file paths, and gallery settings you configure.
- Template settings: Layout, colour, and display options saved as part of the gallery template system.
- WooCommerce data: If you sell prints or downloads, purchase information is handled entirely by WooCommerce, not ShutterPress.
All of this data remains on your own website server and is not sent to ShutterPress or any third party.
2. Data Shared with ShutterPress (optional)
If you enable licence activation or updates for ShutterPress Pro, the following limited information is transmitted securely to our licensing server:
- Your website URL
- The plugin version
- Your licence key and activation status
This allows us to verify your licence and provide automatic updates. No personal or customer data is ever collected or stored.
3. Usage Tracking (optional)
The plugin offers an opt-in option to share anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the plugin is used and which features are most popular. This is a complete list of the collected data:
For all tracking events:
- Installation ID
- An encoded hash of the site url
- WordPress Version
- PHP Version
- Server operating system
- Site Language
- Multisite Yes/No
On Activation:
- Plugin Version
- Activation time
On Deactivation:
- Activation status
- Deactivation time
When Updated:
- New Version
- Old Version
No identifying data such as email addresses, usernames, or IP addresses are collected.
4. Email Sign-ups (optional)
If you choose to join our mailing list during setup or from within the plugin, your name and email address are securely handled by MailerLite, our email provider, in accordance with their privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Your Rights
You retain full control over all data on your site. You can deactivate or delete the plugin at any time, which will remove its data from your WordPress installation.
