Activate your ShutterPress Gallery Pro license to receive plugin updates and support.
Activate your license
- Have the full license key for your ShutterPress purchase ready.
- Go to ShutterPress → Settings → License Settings.
- Paste it into License Key.
- Click Activate License.
- Wait for the result.
After successful activation, the page reloads and displays Your license key is activated.
The saved key is masked. To retry activation or replace the key, enter the full key again; do not copy the masked display.
Understand activation messages
| Message or status | What to do |
|---|---|
| Key not accepted or invalid | Check that you entered the complete key correctly. |
| Expired | Renew the license in your ShutterPress account, then retry activation. |
| Not active for this website | Check the licensed domain in your ShutterPress account. |
| Disabled | Contact ShutterPress support. |
| Saved license could not be verified | Check the accompanying connection or server error and retry. This does not by itself mean the key is invalid. |
| Could not reach the website REST API | Check your connection and ask your host or site administrator to review security rules and WordPress REST API access. |
License requests include your website address. If activation fails after moving the site or changing its domain, check that the licensed domain matches the current website.
Update ShutterPress Gallery Pro
With your license activated:
- Back up your website.
- Open Dashboard → Updates or Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Check for an available ShutterPress Gallery Pro update.
- Review the update information and install it.
- Check a gallery and the features your site uses.
For sites selling images, also check the purchase panel and purchased downloads after updating.
License activation enables access to updates. WordPress’s automatic-update setting separately controls whether available updates install without you starting them.
If an update does not appear
Check that the license screen confirms activation, then check WordPress updates again.
If verification reports a connection error, ask your host whether the site can make outbound HTTPS requests to ShutterPress. Security rules or a temporary server problem can prevent verification.
If the problem continues, contact support with your installed version, website address, and the exact message shown in License Settings. Share your full license key privately.
