ShutterPress Gallery Pro lets you offer a single ZIP download containing your gallery images and selected PDF files. You can create the ZIP in WordPress or link to a file you have prepared elsewhere.
Generated ZIPs include all gallery images. They are not filtered by favourites or proofing choices.
Create a gallery ZIP
- Go to ShutterPress → All Galleries and edit your gallery.
- Save your gallery images and download settings.
- Find the Zip Files panel.
- Enable Show Zip File Download Button.
- Under Select a zip file method, choose Create a zip file.
- Save the gallery, then click Create Zip File.
- Wait for processing to finish and open View ZIP File Contents to check the included files.
Open the gallery on your website and test its ZIP download before sharing it.
Choose the image size
The gallery’s Download Full-size Image setting controls which image versions are included:
- Enabled: uses full-size images.
- Disabled: uses the versions available after upload scaling.
If images are watermarked, the ZIP includes watermarked versions. Choosing full size does not remove watermarks.
These settings are separate from Download Image Size on WooCommerce products, which controls purchased digital downloads.
Include PDF files
In the gallery’s PDF Files panel, create the required documents from your PDF templates.
Use the selection control beside each PDF in the file list to mark it for inclusion in the ZIP. Then create or update the ZIP.
Check View ZIP File Contents to confirm that the intended PDFs are included.
Upload a ZIP or use an external link
Use this option if you want to prepare your own archive or host it elsewhere.
- In Zip Files, enable Show Zip File Download Button.
- Choose Upload a zip file or use an external link.
- In Download Link, select your prepared file or enter its URL.
- Save the gallery and test the download.
ShutterPress links to the file you supply. It does not rebuild that archive when you change gallery images, PDFs, or watermark settings.
Access to an externally hosted file depends on the permissions configured with its hosting provider.
Update an existing ZIP
After adding or removing gallery images, or changing which PDFs are included, save your changes and click Update Zip File.
The status message indicates whether the archive’s filenames match the expected gallery files.
If you replace image contents or change watermarks while keeping the same filenames, delete and recreate the ZIP to ensure it contains the updated files. The filename check alone does not verify file contents.
Delete or disable a ZIP download
Click Delete ZIP File to remove the generated archive and its Media Library attachment. This does not delete the source gallery images or PDFs. You can create the archive again later.
To stop offering ZIP downloads without deleting the archive, turn off Show Zip File Download Button and save the gallery.
Troubleshooting
The download button is missing
Check that Show Zip File Download Button is enabled and saved, and that you have created a ZIP or supplied a valid Download Link. If you embed the gallery using a block, widget, or shortcode, also check that its default gallery buttons are enabled.
The ZIP is missing images or PDFs
Check the gallery’s images, PDF selections, and processing messages. Update the ZIP and inspect View ZIP File Contents.
ZIP creation fails
Your server needs PHP’s ZipArchive extension, a writable uploads directory, and sufficient storage and processing resources. Check the plugin’s System settings and ask your hosting provider to investigate any missing requirements.
A visitor cannot download
For generated ZIP downloads, check the gallery’s password and user-access restrictions. For uploaded or external files, also check the file URL and hosting permissions.
