ShutterPress Gallery Pro uses WooCommerce products and product groups to sell prints and digital downloads for individual gallery images.
Enable purchasing for a gallery
- Create your WooCommerce products and mark them as ShutterPress Gallery Product.
- Add them to ShutterPress product groups.
- Open the gallery’s WooCommerce panel.
- Enable Sell Photos.
- Assign the product groups and arrange their order.
- Save the gallery.
WooCommerce must be active. The assigned groups determine which purchase options are offered for that gallery.
Purchasing from an image
The cart icon on a gallery image opens its purchase options.
Customers can choose quantities and any required product attributes, then click Add to Cart. They can select more than one product for the same image.
Attribute selections apply to the products being added. Customers must complete required options before adding those products.
Purchasing in the lightbox
With the lightbox enabled, customers can open an image and use its purchasing control to display a purchase panel alongside it.
The panel loads the products for the currently displayed image. When navigating to another image with the panel open, the purchase options change to that image.
Check this flow on both desktop and mobile before sharing a sales gallery.
Show products already in the cart
- Go to ShutterPress → Gallery Templates.
- Edit the template assigned to your gallery.
- Find WooCommerce Options.
- Enable Show Current Cart Items.
- Click Update.
The purchase options then show quantities already in the current WooCommerce cart for that image and product, such as 2 in Cart. Where applicable, they also show the selected attributes.
This setting applies to galleries using that template. It shows the current cart, rather than previous orders.
The quantity controls add more items; they do not replace quantities already in the cart. Customers should use the WooCommerce cart to remove items or change existing quantities.
Choose cart and proofing icons
Edit the gallery’s assigned template and find Icon Options.
Choose the Cart Icon and, if you use proofing, the Proofing Icon, then save the template.
These choices change the icons’ appearance. Purchasing and proofing must still be enabled and available for the gallery and visitor.
Test your setup
Open the gallery as a customer and check that:
- The expected product groups, products, prices, and attributes appear.
- Products can be added from the gallery and lightbox.
- Current-cart information appears when enabled.
- The correct image and chosen options appear in the WooCommerce cart.
- Checkout works with your payment and delivery settings.
Troubleshooting
Cart icon missing: Check that WooCommerce is active and Sell Photos is enabled for the gallery.
Products missing: Check the assigned groups, their product lists, prices, and whether the products are purchasable.
Add to Cart unavailable: Enter a quantity greater than zero and complete required attributes.
Current-cart details missing: Enable Show Current Cart Items in the template assigned to the gallery, then check an image with a matching product already in the cart.
Purchase panel fails to load: Repeat the problem with debugging enabled and collect the ShutterPress log for support.
